sunset at mount rainier
Visiting mount Rainier in the summer has been on my bucket list for quite some time, so when the opportunity arose, I didn't hesitate to make it a priority of the trip. & boy does this park live up to it's raves -- if you are ever in the area, or just want to make a special trip to see this place, do it! You won't regret it. Mount Rainier quickly became one of my favorite U.S. national parks, and I would come back in a heartbeat.
After spending the entire day hiking, these two met up with Brady & I near the north-end of the park. Amanda & Cody have been together for 10 years. TEN freakin YEARS. They met in high school & haven't looked back. Together they reside on a farm just outside of Rainier -- Cody is a dairy farmer, and they house + take care of 420 cows!
In our short time together, we ventured around the woods, admired + ran around the seasonal wild flowers, got bit (and killed) way too many mosquitos (PSA: PNW flies & mosquitos are immune to bug spray), & watched as the sun disappear behind the mountain. Friendship with these two was easy. So grateful for this day, and for the sweet people who were there to experience it with.
