olympic peninsula road trip engagement

There was a 90% chance of rain on this January Sunday, but that didn't deter Karaline, Robby, & I from road tripping around around the entire Olympic Peninsula in ONE day. The trip required a 6 am wake up call and a 6:45 am departure. We picked up some snacks + coffee and headed toward our first of six stops, the Quinault rainforest.

The rain and winds chased us the entire day, but we didn't mind one bit. This left the coast pretty vacant so we had most spaces completely to ourselves! We ran around the misty beaches, visited + fangirled over the twilight town in Forks, ate a sweet lunch with a view in la push (we even spotted some seals), repeatedly got soaked + (almost) dry, and ended the evening eating chips in the back of their twinkly lit jeep overlooking Crescent Lake. I don't think I've ever seen so many beautiful places in one day, & it will truly be one for the books!

Love these two to pieces & can't wait to capture their wedding week come July!

ps you may want to grab a snack for this one -- you'll be scrolling for quite some time!

Karaline found this next place on google earth while driving to our next planned spot?! The water + driftwood created this beautiful little hidden beach.
